What are the hours of operation?
Generally, we’re open 7 days a week from 9:00 a.m. until approximately 11:00 p.m. showcasing racing products from across North America and around the world. However, on nights when we are broadcasting live racing from Hong Kong we can be open to 3:00 a.m. in the morning.

When does live racing take place?
Hastings live racing is conducted on Saturdays and Sundays from April until November and Friday nights from June to September. Our first live race of the day starts at 1:25 p.m. and will end between 5:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. depending on the number of races we have on a given day (usually between 8 and 10). Friday afternoon races start at 2:25 p.m. and end around 5:45 p.m. Click here for schedules.

What are the admission and parking fees at Hastings?
General admission is always free. (Except during PNE Fair Time)
The parking is controlled by the PNE and generally costs $6.50. Tell the attendant that you are going to Hastings Racecourse and receive a special parking ticket that you can exchange for a free Live Racing program or a $2.00 Keno ticket (with a purchase of $5.00 or more) and up to $4.50 in food & beverage items. Valet parking is available for $6.00 at Hastings.

Can you have a meal in a restaurant, and watch the races at the same time?
Yes. You may dine and watch the races in Silks, our terraced, smoke-free restaurant. Reservations are recommended, and can be made one week in advance. Telephone number for reservations is (604) 254-1631 extension 4. Sorry, reservations are not available on-line.

Is Hastings wheelchair accessible?
Yes. However, if you are making a dinner reservation, please advise reservations at the time of booking that you will require a table that is wheelchair accessible.

Directions to Hastings?
Hastings is located 4 miles East of downtown Vancouver, just west of Highway 1.
Enter via Gate 6 on Renfrew St., approximtely 500 meters north of East Hastings. Maps and directions are available online, under Directions.

Can I take public transit to Hastings?
Yes. TransLink offers bus service to Hastings Racecourse.
On live race days, beginning at noon, a Complimentary Courtesy Shuttle is offered between Hastings Racecourse, Renfrew & Hastings, and the Renfrew Skytrain Station.

Are children welcome at Hastings?
Yes. Children are welcome at Hastings during live racing events. You must be at least 19 years of age to place a wager.

Is there a children's play area available at Hastings?
The Pacific Customs Brokers playground is located at the west end of the Grandstand. Parents must remain with their children at all times while using this area.

Is Hastings licensed to serve alcoholic beverages?
Yes.

Are pets allowed into Hastings?
Dogs and other pets are not allowed into Hastings with the exception of certified Seeing Eye dogs.

Can pictures be taken at Hastings?
Yes. Customers are welcome to use cameras and/or camcorders while visiting Hastings racing areas. However, please refrain from using flashes around the horses, and from taking pictures of other customers.

Are there bank machines at Hastings?
Yes. There is a $1.25 fee to process each transaction.
