$10,000 BOXING DAY GUARANTEE AT FRASER DOWNS SUNDAY 

There will be a $10,000 Guaranteed Win 4 presented by the British Columbia Lotto Corporation on Sunday by picking consecutive winners in Races 6, 7, 8 & 9 from the live racing card at Fraser Downs Racetrack & Casino.

Minimum wager is $1.00 and all wagers, of course, must be made before the start of Race 6. Participants must be 19 years or older. The special Boxing Day card begins at 1:15 p.m.


NEW YEAR’S DAY: A SPECIAL CELEBRATION AT THE DOWNS

It’s hard to believe that it was 35 years ago on January 1, 2011 when a horse by the name of Guy Dominion owned by Jim Richards and driven by Ray Gemmill stormed across the finish line to win the first-ever race staged at the Fraser Valley complex then known as Cloverdale Raceway. It was renamed Fraser Downs Racetrack in 1996.

Owners, trainers, drivers and long-time employees at Fraser Downs will be honoured on Saturday, Jan. 1 with special ceremonies in the winner’s circle. The card starts at 1:15 p.m. and January also marks the return of Friday-Saturday-Sunday racing at the Downs. Friday Night cards begin at 7:00 p.m. while Saturday and Sunday will be 1:15 p.m. starts.

For our simulcast fans, a reminder that Santa Anita opens its winter/spring meet on Dec. 26. Gulfstream swings into action on Jan. 5, Oaklawn on Jan. 14 and Sam Houston on Jan. 21.
